Someone wrote this in an answer to abortion and what i want to know is people who feel the same way, is the baby still considered a “parasite” when it is about 36 weeks where he is fully developed? Is it still okay to “expel” him at that age?

I believe that abortion should be allowed up to 8 weeks gestation. I don’t like abortion, but I do think that the choice should be there.
I do not agree with partial birth abortion. If anyone doesn’t know what that is, go to YouTube and look up Baby David Abortion. This video shows pictures of a 28 week old fetus found in an abortion clinic in Texas. The baby’s head and arm were torn off his body. I was very pro-choice until I watched that video. Now, I only believe that abortion up to 8 weeks should be allowed. Yes, I know that some people will think I’m horrible for thinking that, but I’m trying to see both sides of the line.

I think whoever wrote that answer IS a PARASITE!
A baby is never considered a parasite in my eyes no matter what the age and i cant believe someone wrote that…its horrible thing to say.
Ppl like this absolutely disgust me. There are ppl in this world that do not DESERVE the ABILITY to have children.
scientifically speaking the statement was inaccurate because in biology a parasite refers to the relationship between organisms of a DIFFERENT species.
So as much as I understand what the person said the statement is not accurate.
Now in regards to the abortion aspect of the question, i am pro-choice but once the baby can be delivered alive and viable i see no point in not doing so.
I think I read that question the other day… I was thinking WTF the entire time I was reading it, and believe me, it went on and on and on… Unbelievable.
I personally do not share those beliefs. But sadly, I think there are delusional women out there who do think it is perfectly fine to “expel” a “parasite” who is at 36 weeks gestation. In fact, up until a few years ago, it was a legal abortion procedure. Look up ‘partial birth abortions’. I was shocked when I learned about them. I wrote a paper about it for my college English class two years ago… It’s sooo disturbing and wrong!

For one, that is a SICK SICK SICK name for it a baby. She should have the baby and give it up for adoption if she thinks of it that way. At 36 weeks you can’t have an abortion you actually have to give birth at that point. Some people are just SICK!
I don’t consider a baby a parasite any any stage
a parasite would be a tapeworm or tumor they might say that bc babies, like parasites, live off the nutrients of the mother, but these babies are blessings, not dieseases or anything icky, and thats their own child
I always thought it was really crude when women say this about innocent babies that didnt even ask 2b conceived.
If you are allowed to abort at 36 weeks, you should be allowed to abort at 17 years, 364 days.

I have no words. I agree some people shouldn’t be given the ability to have children. How does that person see other human beings then? Considering children as parasites. Like I’m pregnant right now and to feel my child moving just makes me smile…I would never think of it differently. I’m pro-choice though, it obviously wasn’t the choice I went with…but if other women feel like they aren’t ready or whatever the situation may be then I have no problem with them. I suppose I would with the way they thought of it, like the whole parasite thing.

No its not okay to “expel” the baby especially at that age, but if u think about it techincally… the baby does have a parasitic relationship with the mother while in the womb. It depletes mom’s vitamins, nutrients, and oxygen in order to grow… Just speaking scientifically.
But for most of us mothers, emotionally anyway, its probably viewed more as mutualistic… the baby uses our resources to grow, and in turn we get a little miracle… both of us benefit =)
Anyway that women should clearly never have children… ever.
Oh how awful! What a sad and horrible thought. If you don’t want to get pregnant then DON’T HAVE SEX! I am STRONGLY against abortion, after all the baby didn’t ask you to have sex so it can be born. It’s not the babies fault you got pregnant either. I’ve heard people say that kids under 18 should get an abortion because they are too young to take care of a baby but my thinking is that if they weren’t “too young” to be having sex then they aren’t too young to take on the consequence/responsibility that comes with it.
The thought that someone just simply doesn’t want to finish carrying the baby to the due date is baffling to me and incredibly selfish – abortion itself is selfish.
Well I better stop there, I could go on FOREVER on this subject but as it is I am in tears as I think about these helpless little ones who are counting on us to allow them to live and grow, as each of our parents did for us!
A baby is anything but a parasite and I wish with all my heart that these sweet little ones were born only to those who REALLY want them and will REALLY love and care for them. So many people can’t have children but would happily adopt them, but instead we are allowing them to be killed because we just don’t want to be bothered by them.
Whoever wrote that is an utter jerk and does not deserve to love and have the company of a loving child.
It is sad that somebody posted that answer. Especially to somebody that probably was looking for some enlightment. I wonder if this person would feel the same if it was its own flesh and blood.
